Rebecca Litchfield or Rebbeca Lilith Bathory is a photographer who really follows what I want to achieve with my photo series. Lichfield captures images of different houses and locations and sometimes adds a human to the photo to make it seem a little bit more fantasy looking while keeping a creepy vibe to it. To get ideas about what I would like in my photo series and different scenes I could use I looked at the photos where she has interiors of buildings and try to look at Lichfield’s lighting techniques, which angles she uses and any sort of props she may use as well as all of these things can really enhance your photo’s. The use of a model in the photos adds a different aspect to her work as it is almost like she wants to add a fantasy theme to her work which is something I may consider to use in my work to enhance it.
These images are some from Lichfield’s site where she created a photo series called ‘Presence of Absence’ which is a decay/abandoned themed photo series which is something is can use for reference and some of the photos she took are beautiful and I like the techniques she has used, her lighting is very bright but it still manages to look eerie. Compared to things like The Conjuring which is something I have talked about before, they are very similar in theme but it shows that things like lighting and colour ranges can have a deep impact on the photo itself. When it come to taking my photos I am going to try and avoid light themes as I would like my photos to have that dark and paranormal vibe.
