Following on from my previous research where I follow Alison Brewster and the events that took place in Chernobyl I have begun to explore moving imagery that focuses upon the paranormal. By doing this I hope to gain inspiration and ideas which will allow me to create an atmosphere that is eerie and has an instant impact on the viewer.
In The Conjuring the centre of the story is about a house that in the 1800’s, once belonged to an accused witch, Bathsheba, who killed herself after cursing all who would take her land and throughout the film the spirit of Bathsheba haunts and terrorises a family that move in to the house in 1971. This house really gets me thinking about how i can add a paranormal aspect to my photography scene as it adds a different element to the image as it is not just abandoned but also haunted. I am going to analyse the photography styles in the film by looking at stills and going to try and develop my technique in photo editing any photos i take and try and setup some nice scenes using a variety of angles.
This week i have a location that i would like to visit on Barton Hill which is an abandoned house which i think will perfectly fit this theme and i am going to scout out the area.
